Tour Itinerary

Day 01

Arrival at Naples, Historic Centre

We begin the tour in Naples with a light lunch, followed by an introductory tour walking through the Historic Centre in the afternoon.

Day 02

National Archaeological Museum, Leisure Afternoon

We continue with Naples this morning with a visit to the National Archaeological Museum to see its extraordinary collection of ancient artifacts, including some of the incredible mosaics taken from Pompeii, followed by a pizza lunch in a restaurant made famous by the legendary Sofia Loren. The afternoon is left at your leisure with unlimited free travel on local public transport.

Day 03

Cumae (Greek Settlement), Phlegraen Fields

This day is spent exploring Cumae, the most ancient Greek settlement on the Italian peninsula, as well as the other-worldly landscapes of the Phlegraean Fields, an area pockmarked with volanic craters, some still active!

Day 04

Lunch at Agerola, Amalfi Local Tour

After a leisurely morning, we leave Naples to make our way to the town of Agerola for lunch, following which we will head for Amalfi where we shall enjoy a tour of the seaside town with a local guide.

Day 05

Leisure Day at Amalfi

This day is left free to let you to relax. Walk the quaint streets of Amalfi and Atrani next door, visit the beautiful towns of Ravello and Positano by bus, or just read a book lounging on the beach if you feel like it. The more adventurous can attempt to walk the trails hugging the spectacular coast.

Day 06

Dairy Farm, Paestum (Ancient Greek City)

Today we take you south of the Amalfi coast to visit a dairy farm to taste the exquisite mozzarella freshly made from buffalo milk. Paestum is scheduled for the afternoon, site of an ancient Greek city with some of the best-preserved Doric temples in Europe.

Day 07

Leisure Morning, Capri UNESCO Heritage Site

Morning shall be left at your leisure, but after lunch we shall make our way to Capri on a private boat, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular coastline for which UNESCO has designated as a Heritage Site for its outstanding cultural value. Even the overland journey to our hotel in Capri is a thrill not to be missed!

Day 08

Tour of Capri, Leisure Afternoon

A tour of Capri town is scheduled for this morning, after which you shall be left free to continue your exploration of the island until our dinner back in Anacapri.

Day 09

Villa San Michele, Private Boat to Sorrento

This morning we visit the nearby Villa San Michele for a panoramic view of Capri, to be followed by lunch, and then our transfer by private boat to the town of Sorrento.

Day 10

Leisure Day at Sorrento

The day is left free to let you to savour Sorrento the way it should be done – without a schedule to limit your enjoyment of what is possibly Europe’s most famous seaside resort.

Day 11

Leisure Morning, Herculaneum, Back to Naples

We take it very leisurely this morning as we check out of Sorrento and make our way to Vico Equense for lunch, after which we shall visit the archaeological site of Herculaneum before we settle down in Naples for the night.

Day 12

Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii, Oplontis

We shall do an early excursion to Mount Vesuvius this morning, which will allow you spectacular views of the entire Gulf of Naples along with the awe-inspiring crater. Afternoon instead is dedicated to Pompeii, possibly the most famous ancient Roman town second only to Rome itself, followed with a visit to the site of Oplontis, a fabulous villa also buried by the eruption of Vesuvius. Dinner is scheduled this evening in a nearby pizzeria.

Day 13

Caserta Royal Palace UNESCO Heritage Site, Leisure Afternoon

This morning we visit the Royal Palace and Gardens in Caserta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often used as a setting in several movies. Your afternoon is again at your leisure upon returning to Naples to relax before we commence with our final dinner of the tour.

Tour ends after breakfast this morning.

  • Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended as there will be substantial walking on both paved and unpaved ground, and sometimes on gravel slopes or extensive steps.

Should the tour be cancelled from two weeks to 1 day prior to the start date of the tour due to restrictions imposed by the Italian Authorities or by the Authorities of the country of departure, Ergo: Travel Pte. Ltd. shall guarantee the full refund of the monies paid up within 3 months of the cancellation announcement.

Please note that this guarantee only covers cancellations initiated by Ergo: Travel Pte. Ltd. due to external conditions beyond its control. Cancellations initiated by tour participants shall be covered under our Tour Payment & Cancellation Policy. In such cases, tour participants are encouraged to recuperate the monies paid through their travel insurance.
